History

Liladhar Veljibhai & Sons is a family-owned business that has been involved in agricultural commodities since 1958. Founded by Mr. Natwarlal Liladhar Chag and his brothers, the company emerged from modest beginnings, leveraging extensive knowledge of agricultural products and a strong drive for growth to achieve success. 1958
Mr. Natwarlal Chag founded Liladhar Veljibhai & Sons, engaging in the trading of oilseeds, cotton, and pulses as intermediaries between farmers and local buyers.
1975
Mr. Arun Chag joined the family business after completing his education.
1976
The company advanced by establishing a groundnut shelling unit to produce HPS Groundnut Kernels.
1984
Liladhar Veljibhai & Sons began manufacturing hulled sesame seeds, becoming the first hulling unit in the region. At that time, exporting hulled sesame seeds was merely a dream, as the product was intended for domestic use.
1991
Sagar International was launched as an export-oriented venture, initially operating in Gulf countries and later expanding to Europe and the Far East.
1999
The company partnered with a Chinese firm to create King Commodities (HK) Ltd, focusing on garlic imports to India.
2002
Mr. Sagar Chag joined the company as the third generation in the family business.
2007
The company attained status of “Export House” from Govt of India.
2008
The company was awarded the status of “Star Export House” by the Government of India.
2012
Operations beings in State of the Art Processing plant near Rajkot in the name of Gujarat Peanut Products Pvt Ltd
2015
The company was awarded status of Two Star Export House by the Government of India.
